Tero Photography is located in the heart of Hobart, and is run by Tero and Julie Sade, a husband and wife team.

Tero is a mutli award winning three times master photographer having received over 100 state, national and international photography awards.

Tero has also travelled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, England, Ireland and New Zealand as an industry speaker lecturing to professional photography groups.

Eight years ago, Tero and Julie moved to Tasmania from Queensland after having built up one of Australia's leading portrait studios. they were looking for a lifestyle change and Tasmania had always been a special place in their hearts.

Today Tero and Julie's home is on a 67 acre property on the Huon River at Ranelagh, with their son and menagerie of animals.

Business Philosophy

Tero and Julie have been in the photography industry for over 28 years and have always enjoyed creating life-long images for their clients. The business is driven by the belief that it is their duty to give back to the community as a thank you to their clients for supporting them in their chosen field. For this reason they have given back over $210 000 to numerous charities.  The Make a Wish Foundation has been a large recipient through the "Kids of …" series of coffee table books.

In recent years, Tero and Julie have also started their own foundation for disadvantaged teenagers. The Breaking Out, Giving Back Foundation, was founded to identify young people aged 14-19 to who are passionate/ gifted and talented but who due to circumstances beyond their control will have difficulty realising their potential and dreams. The aim of the Foundation is to give a hand up by creating programs and opportunities to these teernagers who may be inhibited in achieving their potential and dreams.

Breaking Out is about introducing a positive influence and helping young people achieve their potential so that in turn they can make a positive contribution to the community.
